This notice explains how Sailwatch Systems LLC ("Sailwatch", "we") handles personal data shared through this website. It covers the website only; our apps will have their own privacy notice before anyone uses them.
Who we are
Sailwatch Systems LLC, a limited liability company registered in New Hampshire, USA. You can reach us at hello@sailwatch.app.
What we collect, and why
- Forms (early access, partners, contact): your name, email address, and anything you choose to tell us, such as your boat and cruising plans. We use this to reply to you, to assess pilot applications and to keep you informed about the pilot you applied for.
- Emails you send us: we keep the correspondence so we can reply and follow up.
We don't use advertising or analytics cookies, and we don't track you across other websites. Our fonts and images are served from our own site.
Legal basis
For visitors in the European Union and the United Kingdom, we rely on your consent (which you give in each form and can withdraw at any time) and on our legitimate interest in replying to messages sent to us.
Who we share it with
We never sell your data. The forms on this site open your own email app with your answers filled in, so your message reaches us as an ordinary email that you send. Our company email is provided by Microsoft (Microsoft 365) and this website is hosted by Cloudflare, under terms that require them to protect your data. If we start using a form service, we'll name it here first.
How long we keep it
Pilot applications and partner enquiries are kept for up to 24 months after our last contact, unless you ask us to delete them sooner. Emails are kept as long as needed to deal with your request.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data, or object to how we use it, by emailing hello@sailwatch.app. If you're in the EU or UK and unhappy with our answer, you can complain to your local data protection authority.
Changes
We'll update this notice as the website and our services change, and show the date of the latest version at the top.
